But France is not the only place getting a heat wave. The heat wave in Bangladesh killed over 80 people and the one in Pakistan killed more than 60 people in the past week. This years summer toll in that part of the world is already at 260.
You will recall in 2003 when the heat wave was said to have killed over 10,000 people; the actual toll ended up to be 14,084. That was the hottest heat wave in 53 years in France. Scientists are afraid with temperatures this hot, this early on that it is possible to break even the 2003 records.
In the United States we are also experiencing a heat wave and there are also many fires going on in the south Western States right now, although they appears to be somewhat under control if the winds stay stable over night. In Maricopa Country, Arizona a big blaze and many medium size blazes in California and New Mexico also. MA, IL, MI, KS all had record highs today as the heat wave continues around the globe. Some of this is feared caused by the Solar Flares of last week heating up the Earth. Most of the fires were either from lightening strikes or pure human careless ness. But we must be diligent this fire season as the brush has grown high in the South Western States due to late Winter heavy rains assisting over growth of vegetation in the mountain and desert regions.
Let’s face it, this week on Planet Earth it is just hot everywhere. Think about it.
