The first step to self Improvement and achieving any goal is to decide exactly what we want. If we are not totally clear about what we actually want it is impossible to make plans and take action to achieve it.

It is also vital to know WHY we want whatever it is we want, because it’s our ‘why’s’ that determine the strength of our desire, and our ultimate success in achieving our goals.

For example, say you have decided you want to save or raise $10,000 in the next six months for no reason in particular, expect perhaps that you are lousy at saving and you want to develop that ability.

Compare that to the ‘why’ of parents who needs $10,000 within six months for a life saving operation for their only child? Which of these two ‘why’s’ is most likely to evoke the overwhelming desire and iron-willed determination to take the actions necessary for success?

This is not to suggest that goals will only be achieved if they are for altruistic reasons. We can achieve any honest goal we set for ourselves if we give ourselves a big enough reason to achieve it.

The least important part is the ‘how’. When we decide what we want, and our reasons for wanting it are strong and compelling to us, and we fully expect to succeed, the ‘how’ will come to us. Our conscious and subconscious minds will focus on our goals, and what we spend most of our time thinking about we will attract into our lives.

This will allow us to make the plans and take the actions that will culminate in us reaching our goals. We will also become connected to the abundance of the universe. We will often be assisted by unexpected events and opportunities, or meet people that can help us. This doesn’t mean we will reach our goals with little effort on our part - there’s no doubt hard work and taking action are a critical part of the process. However, when we have a big enough ‘why’ and focus on how it will feel when we achieve our goals, it often won’t really feel like hard work.

If this sounds fanciful and too simple to be true, self improvement experts can explain the process in more detail and provide tools that will help us to harness these powers. The important thing to know is that in does work - with compelling enough ‘whys’ and total belief that we will succeed.

Self Improvement Quote of the Day:

“A burning desire is the greatest motivator of every human action. The desire for success implants ‘success consciousness’ which, in turn, creates a vigorous and ever-increasing ‘habit of success.’ “ - Paul J. Meyer

Celebrex Law Suits Looking Like a Strong Case

By N/A | Published 12/31/1969 | Law | Rating:
There is no data as yet that indicates how many former patients of Pfizer's anti-inflammatory and painkilling drug are filing Celebrex law suits, but given the magnitude of the company's perceived crime it is likely that there will be very many. And even a quick perusal of the alleged behaviour of the company regarding this drug seems to point to Celebrex law suits being something of a fait accompli.

Checked Into Nirvana. Where Is Joy?

By N/A | Published 12/31/1969 | Metaphysical | Rating:
Eckhart Tolle lived upto his twenty ninth year in a state of almost continual anxiety interspersed with periods of suicidal depression. Then he woke up one night with a feeling of absolute dread. The silence of the night, the vague outlines of the furniture in the dark room, the distant noise of a passing train - everything felt so alien, so hostile, and so utterly meaningless that it created in him a deep loathing of the world. "I cannot live with myself any longer." This was the thought that kept repeating itself in his mind. Suddenly he became aware that if he could not live with himself, there had to be two - he and the "self" he could not live with. He was stunned by the realization. He became enveloped by powerful feelings.
