The Better Business Bureau; Is it real?
Lance Winslow
Does the Better Business Bureau have too much power? What do you really think of the BBB? Have you questioned their sales tactics or questioned their validity? If so you are not alone. Home Depot ended up kissing up to the extortion tactics of the Better Business Bureau. Why bother, they are nuts those people.

http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/stories/2002/08/12/daily4.html?f=et50

As many of you know the BBB, which is the little darling of the FTC - Federal Trade Commission often uses extortion techniques to get it’s business members to foot the bill of it’s business and even goes so far as to tell such businesses if you do not pay up, we will refer work to someone else. The FTC even has a link to the BBB and therefore is promoting its dastardly scheme. Use scare tactics and fear to drive consumers away from the vary businesses who pay their salaries and allow for their existence all in the name of righteousness. Why should Home Depot listen to the BBB and why is it that the BBB can launch a negative campaign in the media against a business that provides jobs, helps in natural disasters and is one of the best success stories of the last two decades? Why? Whose team is the BBB on anyway?

The BBB has bad information, erroneous databases and frequently the BBB has complaintants who are competitors lie about information. Our customers love us, we are fair and great at what we do, we do everything to help them, but when one goes crazy on us and they call the BBB because of an impasse, that is when I say to the BBB, screw you. Get out of the way. We will never allow extortion tactics of the government, a competitor or the BBB to attack our great company. Thank god they cannot tele-market call our country’s small businesses anymore and try to get them to pay 300 dollars to be in a phone book that is not distributed to anyone and help us get the same customers we already have. Besides why would a company wish to allow another company, in this case the BBB, use their excellent brand name to use extortion techniques and hypocrisy to sign up other unknowing first time small business customer to join their ranks.

Just listen some time to their line of BS as they try to bully their way into your pocket book. They should be shut down and the FTC ought to catch a clue, they are sleeping with the enemy. An enemy who uses terrorism and extortion techniques to conduct a sales progam. How many possible customers is Joe’s Plumbing going to get because he is a member of the BBB, one or two; and if he isn’t they will bad mouth him. The BBB at some of there offices have those voice mail hell machines; Press one, Press two, leave a message, email us, go to our web site at…, never a return call, never a live voice, unless you are paying them to join and then a sales man/woman lies about all the services they offer, this is opinion.

The FTC is afraid to call them onto the carpet and instead uses their petty tactics in conjunction to do their dirty work. The BBB is a fraud in my opinion; only the older crowd believes it still stands for the same vision it started as. It is not your grandfather’s BBB. So what does this author think the BBB stands for? BBB-Bunch of Bull and Baloney? I believe that the FTC is AFRAID to look into this issue. Any government agency which conducts business that way and harbors terrorists against the Truth, Justice and the America Way they claim to protect is also fraudulent and should have their budget cut into a 1/3 immediately.

We have new telemarketing calls in this country, I say great, now let us start closing down those companies and organizations that do not comply with the new law, namely the BBB which uses telemarketing tactics to extort membership fees from hard working small businesses claiming “some called us and we noticed you were not a member do you want to join” and then on with their spill… Think about it.

Checked Into Nirvana. Where Is Joy?

By N/A | Published 12/31/1969 | Metaphysical | Rating:
Eckhart Tolle lived upto his twenty ninth year in a state of almost continual anxiety interspersed with periods of suicidal depression. Then he woke up one night with a feeling of absolute dread. The silence of the night, the vague outlines of the furniture in the dark room, the distant noise of a passing train - everything felt so alien, so hostile, and so utterly meaningless that it created in him a deep loathing of the world. "I cannot live with myself any longer." This was the thought that kept repeating itself in his mind. Suddenly he became aware that if he could not live with himself, there had to be two - he and the "self" he could not live with. He was stunned by the realization. He became enveloped by powerful feelings.

Celebrex Law Suits Looking Like a Strong Case

By N/A | Published 12/31/1969 | Law | Rating:
There is no data as yet that indicates how many former patients of Pfizer's anti-inflammatory and painkilling drug are filing Celebrex law suits, but given the magnitude of the company's perceived crime it is likely that there will be very many. And even a quick perusal of the alleged behaviour of the company regarding this drug seems to point to Celebrex law suits being something of a fait accompli.
